01

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Doggone Good Heating and Cooling is committed to making our website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our heating and cooling services, request help, and reach us — regardless of ability or the technology they use. We treat digital accessibility as an ongoing effort and work to improve the experience for all visitors.

02

Conformance Target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We also strive to meet the expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is our standard, and we measure our ongoing work against it. We are working toward full conformance and continue to test and refine the site over time.

03

Measures We Take

We design and build our website with accessibility in mind, and we review it on an ongoing basis. Measures we take include:

  • Semantic, structured markup with proper landmarks and a logical heading order so assistive technologies can navigate the page.
  • Meaningful alternative text for informative images, and empty alt text for purely decorative images so screen readers can skip them.
  • Keyboard operability, including a visible “skip to main content” link and the ability to use the site without a mouse.
  • Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
  • Color choices reviewed for AA contrast on text and meaningful interface elements.
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences, so non-essential animation is minimized when your device requests it.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow for different screen sizes and zoom levels.

Accessibility is never “finished.” As we add or update content and features, we test against our WCAG 2.2 AA target and fix issues we find.

04

Known Limitations & Third-Party Content

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Areas we continue to monitor include older or user-generated content, documents, maps, embedded media, and third-party tools or widgets (such as financing applications, chat, review feeds, scheduling, or analytics) that we do not directly control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or services we link to.

If you encounter a barrier in any of these areas, please tell us — we will help you get the information or service you need and will work to address the issue. [GATHER: list the specific third-party widgets in use (chat, maps, financing iframe, reviews, scheduler) once finalized so we can name them and their accessibility status here.]

05

How to Report a Barrier (Feedback)

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you have difficulty using any part of the site, or need information or a service in a different format, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you and to provide the information through an alternative method, such as over the phone.

When you contact us, please describe the problem, the web address (URL) where it occurred, and the device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, if known. This helps us reproduce and fix the issue. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5 business days. [CONFIRM: the name/title and contact for the person responsible for accessibility, if different from our main office.]

06

Ongoing Effort & Review

We review this Accessibility Statement and assess the accessibility of our website on a regular basis, and at least annually, as well as when we make significant changes to the site. We update this statement as our practices and the site evolve. [CONFIRM: preferred review cadence if other than annual.]
